Pius X held student confessions in the commons on Wednesday.
The “confession stand” is a new thing at Pius X with this being the very first time it was held.
The event was essentially confessions in the commons. More specifically in the concession stands, hence why it is being called the confession stand.
The confession stands were available to students all throughout fifth period in the concession stand (located right next to the lunch line).
“We picked the commons because it is accessible and easy to stop by for the students,” Co-Chaplain Fr. Samuel Beardslee said. “It also doesn’t require them to get a pass and it’s located right next to their lunch.”
It was stated that this is planned to become a regular event.
Beardslee said, “We are hoping to have it become a weekly thing every Wednesday. We picked Wednesday because it conflicts the least with other things on the schedule.”
Not only is it convenient for teachers and staff, but students as well.
“I think that it’s a great way to get a confession. I’m pretty busy and the fact that it was so easily available really helped,” freshman Noah Barnes said.
