A new project has been introduced in Jenna Steenson’s anatomy classes.
Students were given the task to pick out a character from any Disney movie and to create a diagram of their digestive system.
Students were asked to label structures such as the gall bladder, appendix, and esophagus.
This project gave students the opportunity to be creative while learning about the structural order of the bodily systems at the same time. This anatomy unit is all related to absorption and excretion, and more specifically, the digestive system itself.
Junior Makenna Adams says she was excited about this project because she chose the Disney character Nemo, from “Finding Nemo.”
“This project really gave us the opportunity to be creative when we chose our character,” Adams said. “I’m glad Mrs. Steenson gave us the option to choose our own character to draw.”
This project is one of two related to the digestive system in this semester’s anatomy unit.
