The Pius X vocal department had their first choir concert of the year on Sunday, Oct. 2.
The event was held at North American Martyrs Church.
“So this was the fall choir concert, every year we have four concerts in total and this was the first one to start them off,” choir teacher Todd Krier said.
Several different choirs preformed, such as The AcaFellas/AcaBellas, Laudamus Women’s choir, Pius X- Men’s choir, the concert choir and Sotto Voce.
While the performance had many good songs, one stuck out the most. The Pius X-Men’s choir performed a song called “The Blessing,” which had the audience sing along with them.
“I thought that part was really powerful, it highlighted why music is so important,” science teacher Lori Watson said. “They say when you sing you pray twice, I think It brought everyone together in worship.”
The Pius X vocal department is comprised of all the combined individual members of Pius X’s choirs.
The performance ended with an amazing finale from the vocal department singing “Prayer of St. Francis.”
