Pius X hosted their annual Jr. High dance last Friday.
The Thunderette dance team helped plan, decorate, and entertain at the dance.
“I always love meeting all the young kids and getting to dance with them,” junior dancer Grace Beckmann said.
The dance is put on for all the junior high students who attend a Lincoln Catholic grade school.
This year there were over 200 students in attendance.
“It was so cool seeing how many students showed up, and it made the night even more fun,” junior dancer Lucy Ring said.
Pius X puts on this event to get the junior high students a taste of a high school dance, and to hopefully introduce them to new people.
“Getting to plan this event was such a blast, I was so excited for all of these students to meet and hopefully have a great night,” dance team parent Kellie Schenk said.
The night was also a fundraising event and food drive.
“Students either brought $6 or $5 and a can of food to get in,” Schenk said.
The dance team collected over 100 cans.
“Having this event double as a food drive is going to help a lot of people,” Beckmann said.
