Students in Molly Wallish’s photography class are learning to become portrait photographers by taking portraits of one another.
Photography students have been working all semester to learn how to become great photographers. They have learned how to produce a good composition, use different apertures and create a beautiful image with great technique.
“I have learned how to compose photos and use our digital resources to enhance our projects to become photographers,” senior Michael Murray said.
Students were partnered up to take portraits of each other. Junior Claire Dunham enjoyed the portrait activity because she got to take photos with one of her close friends.
“I took pictures of Eva, it was fun because we took pictures of each other and laughed together,” Dunham said.
Dunham appreciates how Wallish has helped her to grow in her photography skills.
“Mrs. Wallish helped me learn how to operate a camera,” Dunham said. “I didn’t even know anything about moving files before I got to this class.”
Murray has enjoyed this class and would recommend it to anyone looking to grow their creative horizons.
“You should take this class to further your skills in photography, learn skills for the future, and also because it’s fun,” Murray said.
