Favorite place on campus: Just from this year, one of my favorite places has been the little cement area right next to the Thunderbolt. It has been a great area where my friends and I can talk and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.
Activities at Pius X: Spanish Club, Future Healthcare Leaders Club
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? One of my favorite classes in high school was Chemistry with Mrs. Aylward. It was a great introduction to the subject, and I enjoyed the material that the class had to offer. The labs were very fun to take part in and I felt like a real chemist!
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? Studying in a Catholic institution has put my life in check in so many ways. Throughout my four years, I have been given the chance to reflect on my actions and the choices that I will have to make. In any other school, I would have missed this opportunity to contemplate on myself. Pius X has built this self-awareness to me as well as the rest of the student body. My Faith has given my education a greater purpose in life and that whatever I do with my education will be used for the greater good and for the glory of God.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am just proud that I made it this far. Four years ago, I was so nervous and afraid about the idea of high school. I really thought that I was not going to survive the next four years, but here I am! I am also proud of the relationships that I have started and built because I would not have been able to accomplish anything without them.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? I will be enrolling at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and majoring in Biochemistry. I am pursuing to become a Physican Assistant in the future!
