Favorite place on campus: L-PAC Breezeway: This is where my friends and I ate lunch and spent time during our fifth periods. It was a place where I could catch up with my friends I don’t have classes with.
Activities at Pius X: Student Council, Campus Ministry, Spanish Club, Future Healthcare Leaders Club, Golf Team
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? Anatomy and Physiology : In this class, Mrs. Steenson taught me just how vast the Medical Field is. The many hands on demonstrations and labs really deepened my understanding of the science. It was also just a generally fun class to participate in.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? I can tell my faith has impacted my education, though the peace i find during the day. We are so blessed to have a chapel right in our school. When I’m having a difficult time with a class, I can go to the chapel and pray about it.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am most proud of how the faith of our class has deepened. It is amazing to see how our grade has lead other students to invest in a relationship with Jesus. Our freshman year, we had 30-40 people in campus ministry, and now we have around 150.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? This fall, I plan on going to University of Nebraska Omaha. I will be studying Molecular and Biomedical Biology, with the hopes of in the future becoming a Physicians Assistant.
