Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed being in the LPAC the most. Even though it is meant to just be a lecture hall, the amount of beautiful shows that have been produced on a stage made up of tables is truly extraordinary.
Activities at Pius X: I participated in Speech Team, Cross Country, Math Club, Pius Players, Campus Ministry, Track and Field, Band, Choir, and NHS.
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? My favorite class in high school was definitely AP Physics with Mr. Scheffler. His classes are the first where you may not understand everything, but it is still a lot of fun! From the engaging projects to the fun class activities, I looked forward to his class every morning.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? Going to a Catholic School was definitely a blessing! With Jesus always being present at school in the Chapel, it was comforting to know that if I ever needed to talk to Him, He was just right down the hall.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am most proud of how much confidence I have gained and what I have learned about myself throughout high school. Through improving in Speech to discovering my love for STEM, I am truly grateful to have had the ability to explore all of my interests with the best people around me.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? I plan on attending Iowa State University and studying biomedical engineering.
