Favorite place on campus: I really enjoyed being in the chapel. It’s a perfect place just sit and think about things. High school is such a busy time and it’s important to stop and reflect on what goes on in those moments, and the chapel is an awesome setting to do that. I also have been an avid attendee of Restore every month, and the chapel happens to be where that is too.
Activities at Pius X: Tennis, SOADA club, Ambassadors club, Speech team, Student Council, National Honor Society, Girls Tennis student manager
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? I really loved graphic design, both regular and advanced. It was an opportunity to create and express myself during the school day. I loved bouncing ideas off of classmates and I have made some amazing friends from those classes. Thanks Mrs. Wallish!!
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? My education has greatly impacted my faith. Having a place to freely live out my faith has been life changing, and I wouldn’t be the person I am without that catholic influence this school has had on me. I have met so many friends who inspire me every day with their faith lives, and being able to talk about those religious subjects in a school setting has been incredible.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I think the one thing I’m most proud of in high school are the efforts I made to be kind to others. I really wanted to be a person others could talk about things with and to be that positive impact for someone, because at the end of the day that’s what God will see. I know that it wasn’t always perfect, but I’m happy with those little efforts I made to help others feel like they belonged and were seen.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? After high school, I plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a major in graphic design! Go Mavs!
