Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed being in the chapel. It is the perfect place to think. It is one of the few places in the whole school that is quite almost all of the time. It provides the perfect atmosphere to think, reflect, and rest with the Lord. The chapel was my favorite place to be and the place that makes Pius, Pius.
Activities at Pius X: Varsity Mock Trial, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Show Band, Men’s Choir, Pius X Singer’s, Concert Choir, Sotto Voce, Chess Club, Aviation Club, Campus Ministry, I am the Sacristan for Pius, Pius Student Tech Intern, Pius Players’ Haunted House, Pius Players’ Crew, Krier’s encounter group, AcaPella’s, Barbershop Club, Vocal Jazz, District Music Festival, AcaFella’s, Marching Band Leadership Team, and Pius Players’ Design team.
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? Theology III (Morality) with Fr. Robert Johnson. That class was amazing, I had some very close friends in that class and Father made the classroom a fun environment. Not only was it fun, the content we were learning was something that is applicable to our own personal lives. I actually felt like Father cared about educating us and he never shied away from a question. That class helped my find one of my passions in life.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? Faith has been the most important part of my education. I have been able to grow with the Lord and to become a better version of myself, always pushing to become better and to do better. Faith has inspired my education, and I learned to look to scholarly saints such as Thomas Aquinas and Augustine to guide my studies.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? While I was at Pius we set a lot of “first time in Pius History” records. The marching band earned a Superior at State Marching two years in a row, and the Varsity Mock Trial Team won regionals my sophomore year. Along with this I am very proud of the success I have had in the activities I have done. I have been able to lift up and support other people and make great success out of the amazing opportunities Pius has to offer. I feel as though my time here was spent well, and that I really helped the activities offered at Pius reach the next level, and that they will only continue to grow. I proud of the silent impact I have had on the school, as well as the impact the school has had on me.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? I plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I will study Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics, Law, and Social-Political Philosophy, and a minor in English. I will be pursuing attending law school in the fall of 2027.
