About
I graduated from David City Aquinas in 1985 and firmly believe in both the quality and blessing of a Catholic Education. 2 of my 5 children have graduated from Pius X, (Andrew and Aryssa) and I look forward to 2 more in the next 2 years (Anna and Abby). I love sewing, trying out old family recipes, camping and walking in the early mornings.

Why I Teach

I have taught at Pius X for 30 years because it is “home.” Some of my happiest and even saddest experiences have taken place there. It could have been getting a phone call to find out we were expecting one of our children or that one of the Pius X family had passed awa, much of my life has been spent at Pius X. I have found support from time spent in the chapel, from my colleagues and the students. Along the way I have been able to share my faith and values along with the classroom content that I love so much. As a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher, that is something I would NOT be able to do in a public school classroom! Why do I teach at Pius X? Where else WOULD I teach!
