Jake Moore – Athletics Hall of Fame

Jake Moore was a business teacher and coach at Pius X from 1990 thru 2022 and served as the Varsity Volleyball Coach for Lincoln Pius X from 1990 through 2014, with his teams accumulating a total of 657 wins(an average of over 26 wins per year!). His teams won 16 District Championships, qualified for the State Tournament in 1991 and every year from 1995 thru 2014, played in eight State Finals, and were the State Champions an amazing 7 times!

Coach Moore received numerous awards throughout his career, including being named Coach of the Year by KFOR in 1997, State Coach of the Year by the Lincoln Journal Star in 1998 and 2012 and the Omaha World Herald in 2007, and the Nebraska Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2008, along with a national finalist for Coach of the Year by the NHSACA in 2008 and 2014 and the AVCA in 2008, and the National High School Coach of the Year in 2008 by PrepVolleyball.com! Coach Moore also served as the NCA All-Star Game Assistant Coach in 1994 and the Head Coach in 1998 and 2009.

Coach Moore has his Masters Degree in Educational Administration and is currently a teacher, Assistant Athletic Director, and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Omaha Marian High School, but will always be a BOLT!
