Students in Kayla Boellstorff’s Physical Science class were measuring kinetic and potential energy of a golf ball using different heights. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion possessed by the golf ball as it travels, while potential energy is the stored energy it gains or loses based on its position relative to the ground at different heights.
