Pius X is proud to be a part of a growing Farm to School effort, and joined in celebrating a state proclamation last month declaring October as Farm to School Month in Nebraska.
Pius X has a Farm to School Club of students, teachers and staff. Last May members of the club took a field trip to Green School Farms. Part of the day was spent planting celery. Last month, the very same celery was offered for a school lunch item!
