Troy Charf ’92 is the new head softball coach for Pius X High School.
Charf has coached a club softball team, the Nebraska Quakes, for the past two years. Previously, he had 17-year career as head coach of baseball at Pius X with a 264-157 record. His baseball teams qualified for state nine times, won three state titles and finished runners-up twice. Charf has been a Social Studies teacher at Pius X for 25 years.
“I am both humbled and excited to be the head coach of the Pius X Softball team,” Charf said. “My intention is to continue to build on the spirit and culture established by Coach (Tim) Isaacs that I witnessed in attendance at games last fall. I want our players to become good at small things within the game, putting the team in a position to be successful.”
