Pius X names Wright as head boys soccer coach

Pius X High School has announced David Wright as their new head coach for the boys soccer team. Wright takes over for Micah Chafee, who is stepping down after 10 years with the program, the last five as head coach.

“I’m looking forward to working with this wonderful school and the proud tradition of Pius X,” Wright said.

Wright played soccer at Creighton University from 1996-1999, and played professionally from 2000-2004 in the United Soccer League.

“Obviously, the soccer background that David has is exciting and important, but coaching at Pius is more than just about wins and losses; it is about respect and our faith and teaching our student athletes about more than just the game.  David will bring all of these things to our program and we are blessed to have him.”
