Jared DeMers is the new head girls golf coach for Pius X. DeMers played golf in college, and has taught golf as a pro at Highlands Golf Course for the past seven years.

“To say I am extremely blessed to be given this opportunity to teach and coach at a school like Pius is an understatement,” Demers said. “I look forward to beginning our journey growing our faith together through such an incredible sport.”

DeMers, who played golf at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, will join Pius X as a teacher this fall.

Tim Aylward, interim Activities Director at Pius X, said: “Jared has a great record of teaching golf locally, and played competitively in high school and college. We’re excited to have him on our staff.”
