Clint James Eckhout was a sophomore at Pius X High School when he passed away in April 1997. Although he did not graduate, his classmates still consider him as a member of their 1999 class.
Clint was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed pheasant hunting trips with his dad. He also enjoyed golfing during the summer. At Pius X, Clint was a member of the wrestling and football teams, involved with behind the scene work for theatre productions, and played the drums in the band.
Most of Clint’s free time was spent working toward becoming an Eagle Scout with Troop 159. For his community project, he had planned on building a bleacher drum platform for the Pius X band, but was unable to complete the project. Clint received his Eagle Scout rank posthumously, however, when his family made the decision to donate his organs for the lives of others.
This scholarship was established in Clint’s memory by his parents, Tim and Mari Eckhout.
