The Pick Family Scholarship and Endowment have been established to help students make their Pius X dreams a reality. Willa Mae Pick, grandmother of two Pius X alumni, invested $100,000 from an annuity to establish the two new funds. Hundreds of students taste-tested Brownie Batter Hummus during their lunches today. The key ingredient is black beans (see recipe in pictures), which were locally harvested. Students had the choice of dipping in a cookie treat or a pretzel. This event is part of Pius X’s Farm to School initiative through its Food Services program.
