Guest offers insight into cybersecurity to computer science class

Donald Costello from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, along with help from Anne Pfeifer, presented to the Computer Science class about Cybersecurity. He taught about Caesar Code, encryption, the history of Cryptography, and Quantum Cryptography. He gave the school a gift of 4 different Cybersecurity textbooks. The teacher is John Zach.

Making wounds on Halloween as part of anatomy lesson

The students in Jenna Steenson’s anatomy classes have been learning about wound types, burns and wound healing. Today (Halloween), they used glue, paint, tissue paper, cocoa powder and coffee powder to make their own ‘wounds’.

Marching Band wraps up ‘superior’ season at state

The Pius X Marching Band earned a superior rating at the State Marching Band Competition last Saturday in Lincoln. It’s the school’s first time earning back-to-back superior ratings at the state, and the third superior rating out of three competitions this year.
