Spreading the love – and mulch – of service on their campus
Students in our National Honor Society really earned their service hours earlier this hot and humid week by pulling weeds, spreading mulch and much more on the grounds of our school. A huge thank you to the students (and the NHS sponsor and supporting staff) for keeping our campus beautiful!
Roberto (Bob) and Connie Munguia Scholarship
Connie was born in Greeley, Colorado but was raised in a small town (Gilcrest) five miles from Bob’s family farm. Bob and Connie knew each other during High School and just celebrated 52 years of marriage in February, 2024. Early on in their marriage, Connie worked various jobs, including a few years working at BNSF
Orchestra
The Orchestra is for students in any grade who play an orchestral string instrument such as Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass. The emphasis of this class is placed on playing fundamentals, growth of technical abilities, musicianship, and rehearsal skills. This ensemble will play a variety of orchestral music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods

Today is the official day the new Opportunity Scholarships Act (LB1402) becomes law! Much work has gone into this effort, building on the success of LB 753 from the 2023 session. The Father John J. Keefe Memorial Scholarship Fund will be used to provide scholarships to assist students from Cristo Rey Parish to attend Pius X High School.
