Tom Doggett ’76

A fierce competitor, Doggett was a rare blend of speed and power. An excellent all-around athlete, “He could break for a TD every time he touched the ball.”

Doggett was a two time All-City, All-State football selection. He led the Bolts to State Championships in 1974 and 1975, winning the first ever Nebraska State Football Championship Playoff in ’75. A two time Bobby Mills Jr. 1,000 yard rusher honoree, Doggett was selected to the 1976 Nebraska Shrine Bowl Football Classic.

Doggett was also a talented baseball player earning All-City and Super-State baseball honors in 1976.

Doggett went on to compete in football at the University of Nebraska, but had his career cut short due to a knee injury. He went on and earned his Business degree from UNL.

Doggett is married to Karin Fusco. He has three children: Taylor, Jenna and Sammy. Karin has two sons: Gage and Avery.
