Shelly (Kapler) Wright was a member of the Pius X High School volleyball, basketball, and track and field teams from 1993 to 1996, lettering in all three sports for 3 years. Her senior year, Shelly helped her volleyball and basketball teams to state and received both All-City and All-State recognition in both sports. Shelly was also a member of the 1600m relay teams in 1995 & 1996, winning the Class A Gold and the All Class Gold. Shelly continued her volleyball career at Creighton University from 1996-1999 as a four year starter. She met her husband Dave at Creighton (and Dave is also currently the varsity Boys Soccer coach at Pius X High School). Shelly obtained a Communication Degree with business certificate in 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2004. She has been privileged to serve in her nursing career for 18 years and is currently a nurse/lactation consultant at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. Shelly and Dave have four children: Savannah, Georgia, Hudson, and Genevieve.
