Renee (Lobeda) Towne was a member of the Lincoln Pius X High School softball team from 2001 to 2005 and helped lead the Thunderbolts to the school’s second state championship in 2002. During her high school tenure, she was a four-year letter winner for the program, a three-time Class B All-State First Team selection by both the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star, and earned several NSAA Class B pitching records that she still holds today.
Renee hung up her cleats in 2006 to redirect her competitive spirit to solve complex health care problems. She went on to earn a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and a Doctorate in Education. Incredibly passionate about improving health outcomes, Renee has found her unique niche for leading teams to make massive, measurable, data-informed improvements as the Vice President of Population Health at Health Catalyst.
Above all, Renee feels her greatest achievement is her three children. She and her husband Sam look forward to what the next phase of life holds and the important role that sports will play in instilling positive character traits for their future success.
