Grosserode represented a commitment to success on the track that lasted for decades during and after his career at Pius X. The ten-time All-City selection set six school records and earned five state championships en route 11 total medals at the state track meet. Grosserode was named a USA Track & Field All American in 1997 amidst numerous other honors. His 400m All-Class state meet record stood for 23 years and still stands at the Class A level.
Success on the track followed Grosserode to the University of Nebraska where he earned five All-Big 12 selections and recorded Top 10 finishes in the Nebraska record books in the 600yd indoor, 800m indoor, and 4x400m indoor relay.
Grosserode continues his contribution to a celebrated legacy on the track by serving as the Director and Head Coach of the Lincoln Community Track Club. His leadership helped guide 62 Association State Champions and 32 USA Track and Field All-Americans. He and his wife Amberly (’98) live in Lincoln and have four children.
