Dress-up Days for Catholic Schools Week

Published

Catholic Schools Week is next week! As this is a fun time to celebrate being part of the Pius family and Catholic community, a few guidelines are listed below for the dress-up days. Please read all the guidelines below to help you enjoy Catholic Schools Week to the fullest!

Catholic Schools Week Dress Days: All days need to follow the informal dress code outlined in the Student Handbook. Athletic shorts must be in the dress code, and stomachs must be covered. Hats and sunglasses can be worn when they meet the theme but cannot be worn during class time. If you are not following the informal dress code, you will be asked to change into uniform.

Three options can be worn during the week:

  1. Dress up within the assigned theme
  2. Spirit Day Clothing – Jeans/sweatpants and a Pius shirt (uniform short are allowed)
  3. School uniform

The themes for the days are:

  1. Monday: Pajama Day – sweatpants are okay, shorts must meet dress code requirements, shoes need to be worn, and no yoga pants/leggings are allowed
  2. Tuesday: Jersey Day – Wear your favorite team/player’s jersey. No undergarments can be showing (meaning – basketball jerseys must have shirts underneath). Jeans okay, sweatpants or athletic shorts allowed as long as they are in theme and within school uniform guidelines, and NO yoga pants/leggings are allowed (even if you think the jersey is long enough).
  3. Mismatch/Fashion Disaster Day – match polka dots and stripes together or a button up shirt with sweatpants! Pick the best worst combination. Sweatpants are okay, shorts must meet dress code requirements, shoes need to be worn, and no yoga pants/leggings are allowed
  4. Thursday: Eucharistic Processional & Mass – School uniform
  5. Friday: Spirit Day – No face/body paint allowed; sweatpants allowed if they are green, gold, grey, black, or white. 9th Grade: Yellow, 10th Grade: Green, 11th Grade: Black, and 12th Grade: White
