Grade/Subject/Position: K-12 Physical Education at Aquinas Catholic Schools
David City, Nebraska
When I realized/discovered I wanted to be a teacher: I discovered I wanted to become a teacher in high school when I realized the impact all my teachers and coaches had in my life. The never give up attitude the faculty at Pius taught us really helped shape who I am today.
School memories that impacted how/why I teach: I remember how all the teachers at Pius cared about each individual student and their goals after high school. I use this same approach when I am teaching and coaching our students.
The impact of my students on me: Working with students ranging in age from K-12th grade and coaching both in the middle school and high school has impacted me greatly. Being with all ages has taught me patience, organization, and a desire to continue to educate myself to help all students reach their goals in the classroom and on the athletic fields.
Family Update: Wife, Denisa.
Hobbies & Activities: Coaching, golfing, reading, and cooking
Personal Achievement: Graduating from Peru State with a bachelors degree in PK-12 Health and Physical Education and graduating from the University of Mary (Bismarck N.D.) with a masters in Athletic Administration.
My memories of Pius X: Some of my favorite memories of Pius are being on the football team and then being able to coach at Pius my first year out of college.
