The Story:
We met and got to know each other through marching band. The show that year was ironically titled “A Love Story.”

We went on a unofficial dinner date and bought matching t-shirts for “twin day” during homecoming week. We then danced a lot at homecoming and told all of our friends that we were dating.

Pius X Impact:
It is really nice to be high school sweethearts because we have been so close for so long. We get to watch each other grow up. Now we reminisce on shared experiences in high school that are some of our fondest memories. It is nice to have someone there through it all, especially with your journey in faith. This gives us a strong relationship and brings us closer together.

Life Update:
We like to keep ourselves busy. We love to play pickleball, racquetball, and volleyball. We also love to go fishing and we love to garden. We also go to Husker and Supernovas games. We still play our instruments in the Lincoln Community Concert Band. Gage is a Horticulture major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he will graduate with a bachelor’s degree next spring. Carly is graduating in May with a bachelor’s in medical laboratory science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she also has a bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Carly was also recently hired to be a Microbiologist at UNMC and will start in May.
