Caroline Theil ’18 a former member of the Pius X & Texas A&M swim team has been named to the USA Triathlon Talent ID program. Caroline will compete in her third Olympic swimming trials this summer in Indianapolis as she continues to balance her new multi-sport training with USA Triathlon. She currently lives in Enid, OK with her husband Ben Sager who’s training to be an Air Force pilot. Her time as a Thunder Bolt and Aggie athlete has set her up for this next venture as a pro triathlete representing team USA.
Below is her letter of acceptance from USAT:
Congratulations, you have officially been named to the USA Triathlon Talent ID Program! There
are only a few of these letters handed out each year, so receiving one is a very unique honor.
We fully believe you have the talent, work ethic, and positive attitude that can lead to you
qualifying for the Olympic Games.
We hope this letter can serve as daily motivation for your future long-term goals, and also be
saved as a representation of an accomplishment that only a few athletes in the whole United
States achieve.
We are excited to have you representing Team USA domestically and internationally, and we
look forward to supporting you as you embark on this journey.
