Spectrum show choir went on a middle school tour around Lincoln with various other groups of the Pius X music department on Feb. 15.
They went to schools such as St. John’s, Blessed Sacrament, St. Teresa’s and more.
The younger students got to see a few numbers from Spectrum’s show and were able to gain more insight on what doing high school show choir would be like.
Junior Natalie Oorlog enjoyed “seeing all the future Pius students and letting them experience what show choir is.”
The high schoolers were able to interact with some of the kids afterwards to meet them and tell them more about what they do.
Many of the students in Spectrum remember watching Spectrum perform when they were kids, and now they’re able to do that for the younger students today.
“I like influencing them and seeing the joy on their faces when we perform for them,” junior John Schilmoeller said.
While the performers did have a long day, they were able to show off what it means to be in Spectrum and possibly influence the younger grades to join in the future.
