A small-town sophomore has recently transferred to Pius X where he is helping the team succeed.
Amudi Musa started attending Pius X this year, after transferring from Lourdes Central Catholic in Nebraska City. He has already made many friendships and an impression on the football field.
“Although Amudi is new he is proven to be extremely useful due to his athleticism,” assistant coach Troy Charf said. “We can move him around all over the field and on special teams.”
Musa plays as a running back and defensive back and is currently starting as a varsity player.
“It’s not all that common that we have sophomores that can contribute to the varsity level,” Charf said.
Even though he is only a sophomore, Musa has impacted the team and is helping them through the season.
“He’s a great player to have because he’s very fast and an extremely hard worker,” sophomore running back and linebacker Rylan Doering said.
He has put extreme effort and energy into the team at games and during practice.
“He is always giving a lot of energy and is extremely productive,” Doering said.
Musa isn’t just a hard worker, his teammates also say he knows how to have fun.
“He is always making the guys laugh at practice and is just fun to be around,” sophomore offensive and defensive tackle Zeke Mullendore said.
Musa has a tradition of listening to his favorite game day music and eating Chipotle.
“Doing these simple things helps calm me down because I still get nervous before I play,” Musa said.
Musa works well with his teammates and has formed many special connections already.
“He’s always being kind and is a great friend to have on the team,” Mullendore said.
Musa enjoys playing at Pius X where he plays alongside his friends and contributes in all areas of the game.
“I have had an amazing experience already on the team and I am glad to be a Bolt,” Musa said.
