Seniors on the boys golf team have been enjoying their last golf season at Pius X.
They have spent many hours practicing, doing drills, and competing at golf meets. They have persevered through many trials and have made very fond memories including team dinners and competitions.
According to each of the senior boy golfers, one of their favorite aspects of golf has been the friendships that they have made.
“It’s brought some new people that I became friends with that I probably would never have become friends with if I didn’t do golf,” senior Tyler Morris said.
They support each other through the good days and the bad.
“It’s really built my friendships, just with my friends being there in the ups and downs because golf is really challenging,” senior Mason Beck said. “When you are not playing your best, it gets really frustrating and for friends to just be there, it’s nice to have.”
The golfers have grown in their golfing skills together and they are always pushing each other to be the best players they can be.
“We click really well together, and we are able to push each other to always improve,” senior Matt Bartek said. “Just being out on the golf course, it’s really easy to connect because it’s just you and the golf course. You can talk about just about anything out there.”
