Patrick’s passion for performing was ignited thanks to his mother’s unwavering support. Encouraged by her, he reluctantly auditioned for his high school’s spring musical during his freshman year at Pius, and to his surprise, he secured a spot in the ensemble of “The Pajama Game.” Little did he know that this seemingly small opportunity would shape his entire career. It was clear that his mother’s instincts were spot-on, setting him on a path filled with remarkable experiences. Notable highlights from his time at Pius include his unforgettable portrayals of Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof” and Curly in “Oklahoma!”
After graduating, Patrick wasted no time diving into the professional world. He started his journey at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, honing his craft and preparing for greater things. At just 19 years old, he landed the lead role in the renowned “Rockin’ at Rockville High” show at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, TX, which was then the country’s top theme park production. Soon after, he received an opportunity from Opryland USA in Nashville, TN, where he delighted audiences across various venues, including the theme park, the General Jackson Showboat, and the Opryland Hotel. It was an honor for him to share the stage with country music legends like Alabama, Diamond Rio, Billy Dean, and Collin Raye, among others.
Over the course of three decades, Patrick’s talent has taken him to all corners of the globe, allowing him to showcase his abilities in theater, television, and film. His performances have graced stages across six continents, leaving only Antarctica yet to be conquered, a goal he remains determined to achieve.
Among his cherished career highlights, Patrick proudly recounts being part of the inaugural cast of two Princess Cruises’ ships, the Crown Princess and the Emerald Princess. These opportunities not only showcased his skills but also allowed him to originate roles in several captivating production shows. He also fondly remembers his time playing “Kenickie” in Norwegian Cruise Lines’ touring production of “Grease” and the incredible experience of opening for Lionel Richie at the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during the Y2K celebration. Additionally, he considers sharing the stage as the opening act for Diana Ross at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as a truly unforgettable moment.
While Las Vegas has been his home for many years now, Patrick has transitioned from a full-time singing career to a successful real estate business. Although his focus has shifted, he continues to share his voice on a weekly basis, finding joy in connecting with audiences. Looking back, he often expresses gratitude for the unexpected journey his talents have taken him on — a journey that led him to his loving wife, Tracy, and provided him with countless adventures and cherished memories.
Patrick remains grounded, humbled by the opportunities he’s been afforded. He reflects on the 15-year-old version of himself, who could never have fathomed that his voice and talents would bring him such incredible experiences and open doors around the world. He owes much of his success to his mother’s unwavering belief in him all those years ago, as her guidance set him on a path he will forever be grateful for.
