When I realized/discovered I wanted to be a teacher: I always had positive role models in my life, and as I grew up I realized not all kids had that, so by becoming a teacher I knew that’d give me a chance to be a positive role model for kids that needed one.
School memories that impacted how/why I teach: I always had teachers that cared about me being successful and would push me to be the best version of myself. I try to do that for my students now.
The impact of my students on me: It’s given me a lot of perspective for how lucky I was having a loving family and a school community that pushed me to be the best I could be. I work with a lot of high risk students who don’t always have a steady home life, so being able to be someone who is always there for them has been very rewarding.
Family Update: I got married to my wife Suzanne in July of 2020 and we currently live in Pender, NE with our two dogs.
Hobbies & Activities: I enjoy golfing, bowling, going to watch sporting events.
Personal Achievement: I help coach varsity football at Omaha Nation, and when I started working at the school they hadn’t won a game in 4 years, and in the last two seasons we have really transformed the program into being a lot more successful.
My memories of Pius X: I always remember the great teachers, coaches, and classmates I had.
