School memories that impacted how/why I teach: Ensuring my classroom is a safe, inclusive, and creative environment is the foundation of how I teach today. I am blessed with an unwavering supportive and loving family unit that encourages me to be my best. I hope to impact my students lives in the same way my family impacts mine.
The impact of my students on me: Being a primary teacher reminds me to live a life of joy, integrity, and honesty.
Hobbies & Activities: I enjoy hiking, biking, reading, and writing. My favorite times are spent with my family.
Personal Achievement: My greatest achievement since leaving Pius X would be receiving a Masters of Science in Elementary Education degree with a concentration in Literacy.
My memories of Pius X: The memories I have of Pius X High School will forever be in my heart. From Sister Maria making me Mexican rice, to being Cheerleading Captain under the Friday Night Lights, to wearing the plaid skirt. When I began school at Pius X in the spring of my sophomore year I was disappointed of the absence of a plaid skirt in the uniform. Curious and bold, I asked administration if a plaid skirt could be implemented. They asked me to wear the skirt for a day in order to hear feedback from classmates on if they would wear it. I was the only person in the school to be wearing a plaid skirt. With excitement and positivity from my peers, the plaid skirt was implemented into the uniform my senior year. I would say seeing young girls years after me wearing the plaid skirt would be my favorite everlasting memory of Pius X.
