Student Council gives seniors opportunity to showcase memories

The Pius X Student Council has asked seniors to send in photos from their past four years at Pius X to create a collage on the wall of the senior hallway. It is a way to commemorate their time here.

“We all felt like the senior class was really devastated by the pandemic and we thought it would be nice to remember the good parts of high school instead of the bad,” senior Ellie Bunz said.

The photo wall was an idea junior student council member, Dylan Kluthe, saw on the social media app TikTok. He then suggested it to the group.

Student body president, Paul Stara, also hopes that the pictures will be a way of remembering the good moments.

“The council realized that this has been a really unique year with the pandemic, and many of the traditions seniors have seen in years past have been altered,” Stara said. “This, however, presents an opportunity to do something equally unique for the senior class.”

So far, Student Council has received about 50 photos but would love more.

The pictures can be from both inside and outside school but are requested to be Pius X appropriate.

“You can expect to begin seeing pictures in the senior hallway within the next couple of weeks,” Stara said. “We will continue to add them as we receive them.”

Seniors wanting to contribute to the wall can email their photos to piusxstuco2021@gmail.com or send them in a direct message on Instagram to @phsstucomedia. All photos are due by March 17.
