Dominick Elsener was born on Febryary 17. 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska. He served as a merchant marine at the age of 16 during WWII and went on to work as a book binding operator for 45 years before his retirement.
Rosemary “Rosie” Elsener was born on July 12, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was proud of her Irish-Catholic heritage and her Nebraska roots.
Dominick and Rosemary Elsener were married on June 17, 1950. They were married for 63 years and raised six children that produced the fruitful legacy of 29 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Elsener & Mrs. Elsener passed away on November 3rd exactly five years apart (2013 & 2018), respectively. Mr. & Mrs. Elsener were most grateful and supportive of St. Teresa and the impact of Pius X High School on their family.
This endowment was established by the Elsener family to help advance the mission of Pius X and Catholic education in Lincoln.
