Thunderbolt Scramble
The Thunderbolt Scramble is a fundraiser sponsored by the Pius X Booster Club with proceeds used for the ongoing improvement of Pius X athletic facilities. It is held each summer at Firethorn Golf Club, one of the Midwest’s premier golf courses.
The Thunderbolt Scramble has raised well over $240,000 since its inception in 2005. Thanks to the Pius X community’s generosity, these funds have helped:
- purchase new field turf
- refinish the track,
- repair the tennis courts,
- refinish the basketball courts, and
- purchase ScoreVision boards in the gym.

Thunderbolt Gold Sponsor $2,700
8 golfers in the tournament, your company logo or individual name displayed on the Booster Club “Gold Club” banner, a hole sponsor sign, recognition at the registration table and dinner. Includes range balls, carts and dinner.
Thunderbolt Green Sponsor $1,350
4 golfers in the tournament, your company logo or individual name displayed on the Booster Club “Green Club” banner, a hole sponsor sign, recognition at the registration table and dinner. Includes range balls, carts and dinner.
Hole Sponsor $250
Includes Hole Sponsor sign, and recognition at the registration table and at the dinner.
Coach/Priest Sponsor $150
Underwrites the cost for a Pius X coach or priest to play in the tournament. Includes range balls, carts and dinner.
Team Registration $600
4 golfers, includes range balls, carts and dinner.
