Three All-City runners paced Coach O’Boyle’s championship team. Jerry Spethman broke the tape at districts and Mark Cuddy, Shawn Kelley, Peter Morin, and Fred Stuart also logged Top 15 finishes to earn Pius X the district championship. Spethman went on to earn 5th place at the state meet with followed by Cuddy (12th), Kelley (22nd), Morin (24th), and Stuart (52nd).
