What is your current place of employment and title?
I am an Account Executive for Ideal Images.
What brought you to this position?
I was working in the accounting industry after college but wanted to try something different. I first worked at the company’s retail store as a junior at Pius, so I’ve been connected to the company for years. When the owner found out I was looking for a change, he offered me this position, and it turned out to be a great fit.
How has your work impacted you?
My work has had a great impact on me, both personally and professionally. I love that my role allows me to meet new people daily, build relationships, and help clients bring their branding visions to life. It has strengthened my communication skills, expanded my network, and made every day exciting and fulfilling.
How did you get involved with the Pius X Booster Club?
Growing up with my dad as a teacher and coach at Pius, I always felt like I had the opportunity to meet everyone involved with the Booster Club. During the onboarding process, I had the chance to connect with Kim Vacek, Mandi Scdoris, and Chris Novosad, and they were fantastic to work with. They provided valuable feedback on what they wanted offered on the Pius website and shared ideas for future orders, making the process both smooth and collaborative.
You can now order Pius X gear online with the help of Robbie Hansen at – http://piusx.net/apparel.
How does your faith play into your role?
My faith guides me in my work by emphasizing integrity, service, and a commitment to treating others with respect and kindness. I strive to approach each interaction with honesty and a genuine desire to help others, reflecting the values of my Catholic faith in my daily responsibilities.
How do you see your work evolving?
I see my work evolving through continued relationship-building. By having strong, lasting connections with my current clients, I aim to expand my network and create more opportunities for work. As trust grows, so will the potential for new business, allowing me to deliver even more value to those I work with.
What initiatives or projects are you hoping to start or finish in the coming years?
In the coming years, I aim to strengthen client relationships, expand my services to meet evolving needs, and increase brand visibility through word of mouth and referrals. I also plan to streamline the ordering process to enhance customer experience.
What has been your greatest achievement since leaving Pius in 2015?
My greatest achievement since leaving Pius in 2015 has been marrying my high school sweetheart; Alexa (Beckman) ’16 and welcoming our first baby girl together. Building a family has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and it’s something I’m deeply proud of.
Tell us about your involvement with the Alumni Basketball Tournament.
Over the past seven years, I’ve been involved in helping run the Alumni Basketball Tournament, but this year will be the first time I’m in charge of it completely. It’s been truly amazing to see how many alumni come back to compete, and the best part is that you didn’t even have to have play basketball in high school to participate—something I can personally relate to!
When not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s taking walks, enjoying lake days, or other activities. I also love playing basketball and golf, which help me stay active and unwind.
What memories do you have of Pius X High School?
Honestly, there are too many memories to mention. Since my dad had already been working at Pius when I was born, I had the privilege of living and breathing everything Pius growing up, and it’s something I will always hold dear. As a kid, I couldn’t wait for Friday nights because it meant I got to be the ball boy with my brothers, and those were some of the greatest memories. I didn’t fully realize it at the time, but now, as a father, I can only imagine how my dad felt seeing his three boys running up and down the sidelines, having the time of their lives.
Is there anything else you would like to share about you, Alexa, and baby?
We welcomed Scarlett Lynne Hansen on September 6th, 2024, and she has been the greatest blessing we could ever imagine. She keeps us on our toes, and every moment with her feels like a dream come true. Alexa completed PA school last year and is now working for Bryan at a family medicine practice in Ashland. We both love returning to Pius to watch games whenever we get the chance. Future Bolts in the making!
