Married: August 1982

The Story:
We met at Pius. Mark’s senior year his locker was moved next to Mary’s and they would often talk between classes. During one of those chats Mark asked Mary out on a date in February 1979. Fast forward through school dances and plays, two proms, 2 children and three grandchildren to celebrating 43 years of marriage in August.

Pius X Impact:
Often a song or something will happen with our children or grandchildren, or those of our friends and family, that reminds us of our own shared experience in high school. Those memories often bring a smile to our face and a laugh.

Life Update:
Mark spent 35 years with the United States Postal Service, and Mary the same in Medicine. Our careers took us from Nebraska to Colorado and Washington State. So many new and fantastic experiences, meeting so many friends along the way. We retired in 2019 and have been enjoying traveling and spending time with and family and friends.
