The Verso L’Alto high school retreat was held by St. Joseph’s, Cathedral and North American Martyrs parishes on Sept. 28-29 at Camp Kateri. This is the third year the retreat has been held.
“My favorite part of this retreat has just been the fact that it’s just been so restful and so peaceful and that I just get to be,” senior Lily Russman said. “I don’t have to worry about anything this weekend.”
There were many talks and activities that helped the students come closer to Christ.
“My favorite part of this retreat was being able to be with all my friends and all the fun talks and activities that we do all together,” freshman Julia Nguyen said.
The youth ministry leaders were Sarah Racicot, Mary Raun and Jaz O’Campo.
“Just giving opportunities for high schoolers to encounter Christ in a way that you could just get away,” O’Campo said.
The youth ministry leaders hoped to give the high schoolers a Christ-filled space away from the chaos.
