Favorite place on campus: My favorite place at Pius is the library. I spent over an hour here everyday studying or doing homework. It is such a nice place to find a quiet moment to yourself and get things done!
Activities at Pius X: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band (section leader), Jazz Band, Women’s Choir, Pius X Singers, Sotto Voce, Prism Show Choir, Spectrum Show Choir, Pius Players, and the Writing Resource Center
What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why? My favorite class at Pius was Social Literature with Mr. Hansen. Not only did I enjoy the reading but Mr. Hansen made the class very enjoyable and his passion for what he teaches and his strong faith influenced the class in such a remarkable way.
How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith? The education I have received through the theology department at Pius has given me a strong foundation in my faith. I have benefited most from apologetics and now feel more confident defending my faith going into college.
What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X? I am most proud of how I have learned to balance my life and manage my time. With many extra curricular activities and a part time job I have kept myself very busy. I have learned how to succeed academically while giving all I have to the groups I am part of.
Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study? I am attending UNL and majoring in Secondary English Education in hopes to become an a high school English teacher in the future.
