Parents: Kelli & Stephen Dodd
School(s) attended K-8: St. Joseph’s
Favorite place on campus: I enjoyed being in the music room the most, because my passion has always been music. I was able to live out what I love to do most, gain more confidence in myself throughout my four years, and make amazing friends there.
Activities at Pius X: I have been involved in volleyball, multiple choirs, varsity show choir, ambassadors, NHS, musical, and many Pius’ Got Talent/benefit concerts.

What is/was your favorite class at Pius X, and why?

My favorite class was Mrs. Heim’s geometry class freshman year. I’m so glad I was able to have my first math class at Pius with her, because not only did she teach me so well, but she also taught me so many life lessons and made me feel so welcome. To this day, she says “hi” to me in the hallways every chance she gets! She is truly one of the kindest people and one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.

How has your faith impacted your education, or how has your education impacted your faith?

My education has impacted my faith in ways I never thought possible. My theology classes, especially, have brought me closer to God through a deeper understanding of our faith. I have been able to see and think about things in ways I never had before. I’ve realized more and more just how much God loves me, and my love for Him has only grown more and more as well.

What are you most proud of about your time at Pius X?

I was most proud of receiving the Best Female Soloist Award at Midwest Cup for show choir my senior year. It showed me what I can accomplish if I set my mind to it, and all my hard work seemed to finally pay off, even when I had never expected to receive this award.

Where are your plans after high school (college, military, job, etc.)? What do you plan to study?

I am attending Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, where I plan to major in nursing and minor in either psychology or ASL.
