FoodBank support, led by student council, earns Pius X top spot

With a grand total of 16,493 pounds of food and $1,450 cash, Pius X Student Council was named the winner of the large school division of the school food drive challenge of the Lincoln FoodBank. This equals 18,095 total meals and 14.9 meals per Pius X student. The second place total was 2.8 meals/student. The food drive began October 10 and ended Nov. 5.  All 12 schools collected 31,178 pounds of food and $9,125 in cash. Pius X has won the large school division since 2014.
