About Pius X: Faith
Pius X High School Open House
Monday, Feb. 4, 7 p.m., 6000 A Street, Lincoln, NE
Our faith at Pius X High School is present, alive and integral to everything we do. But the pathway to building one’s faith might be different for each student.
Imagine a board game where your game piece moves around the board, perhaps up and down, or round and round, with treasures and pitfalls. At any point in the game, you and your teammates are in different spots with different circumstances. One’s faith journey can be similar, as each person comes to Pius X with unique experiences, challenges, and passions.
As part of our family of faith, students are encouraged to grow their hearts, minds and souls as they build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. During four years of Theology, they will learn about the Scriptures, Church History, Catholic Worship, the Catholic Moral Life, Social Justice, Apologetics, and to start discerning the vocation God is calling them to – whether the married, single, or religious life – as they aim toward Heaven.
On that journey they’ll be joined by more than 1,200 fellow students (Catholic and non-Catholic) with the same questions, enriched by more than 120 dedicated faculty and staff who believe Christ is present everywhere, and advised by our three religious sisters and 16 priests whose calling is to be here, right here, with your son or daughter! What a blessing!
So how does it happen? What does living our faith “look like” at Pius X? In addition to daily mass, below are links to a few opportunities for students to explore and share their faith:
