The Database & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Pius X Foundation office. This dynamic position requires the selected candidate to be a quick learner and have the ability to adapt to using and understanding complex database systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for The Raisers Edge database system. Tasks include but are not limited to adding new constituents and gifts, maintaining all address and informational changes, pulling and manipulating lists, building queries and exports, running reports, and making global changes.
  • Ensure the database is accurate and responsible for creating policies/procedures around data entry to ensure Raisers Edge effectively operates.
  • Liaison to outside marketing firm to ensure and coordinate all marketing assets, including print and digital communications.
  • Responsible for website updates for the Foundation pages and fundraising needs.
  • Gather collateral for story-telling (quotes, photos, etc.)
  • Collect and analyze data to inform data-driven marketing efforts and determine ROI, including manipulating and visualizing data for reports.
  • Assist Director of Advancement with annual Fund for Pius X list segmentation.
  • Support Special Events & Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer management or execution of event details (pulling guest lists, setting up event registrations in database, etc.)
  • Assist with execution of fundraising appeals (stuffing envelopes, printing labels, pulling lists, etc.)
  • Participate and assist with events held annually by the Foundation Office.
  • Work with Foundation team to answer phones, field questions, and assist with other administrative tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work as well as manage numerous projects.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe products is helpful.
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Practices data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to generate queries, reports, exports, graphs, and charts through Raiser’s Edge, Research Point, and related programs, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little or no guidance.
  • Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
  • Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an office setting; nonprofit or fundraising work preferred, but not required.
  • Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
  • Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Support and adhere to codes of conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexible schedule; this position works year-round
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be able to stoop, sit, stand, push, pull, and stretch consistent with an office environment;
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, fax machine etc. in conjunction with administrative duties; and must possess a valid driver’s license in order to attend meetings and conferences as appropriate as well as for travel both locally and nationally.

Pius X currently has about 1,100 students (co-ed) enrolled in our 9-12 Catholic high school. Pius X High School is announcing a search for a new Athletic & Activities Director to begin in July 2024. A successful applicant will be a practicing Catholic with administrative certification (or the ability to acquire it) and an understanding of the Church’s teaching on the role of sports and arts in the formation of character and virtue.
